Firstly, Happy Birthday Baby!! Hope you enjoyed yesterday...you sure looked like you did!
So, what did we do yesterday? Linkin Park! Yes, me at a Linkin Park concert! Peer pressure at its best. I like their music but I wouldn't say I'm a huge fan. It was more a case of being told that everyone was going and knowing I'd feel left out if I was stuck sitting at home So I thought "What the heck! Ok!". Plus, I figured if Wilson was going, I wanted to spend his birthday with him.
Cue this conversation the day before the concert:
Wilson: I don't really care about going actually. Seen them before... Me: Oh...but I'm only going coz you're going... Wilson: I'm only going coz you said you're going... Me: oh...
Ai....you gotta laugh
got it?!
before the sweat and bruises
someone's getting pumped up!
yeh...we're sooo linkin park..lol
the only pic of the 5 of us...ok, so it's really only me and birdie and most of gracie..heh :p
We had fun. Definitely not my scene. I'm just not hard-core...that's not to say I didn't get into it. Why spend $100 bucks and waste the experience, right? I jumped and shouted and sang what I knew and pushed and shoved right back at anyone that came my way And boy, oh boy, was I impressed with Chester! But no, I don't think I'd do it again. We were about 5 deep back from the stage so it was crazy! Right in the thick of the mosh pit.
So I'll cherish the killer bruise I got on my foot and when it fades, I'm moving right on back to JT (yes, I am going to that too!)
in the thick of it
he went off!!
the best of the lot - photos were virtually impossible with the jumping and my lil p&s just could't cope with the lighting conditions. but as they say - its all about the experience :)
I've had complaints about my lack of blogging from a couple of friends. Which was kinda nice actually. In the sense that someone actually cares whether I blog or not I do miss it actually. I enjoy blogging. But I've been distracted by other things going on around me. Firstly work...and secondly, facebook...lol).
In the time that I've been missing, a birthday has come and gone (mine), another one is approaching (bee's), there's been another birth in the extended family (whom I haven't yet met) - little Flynn Olan (cute name, huh!), a soccer season has ended, a promotion has come my way (and is stressing me out - although for all intents and purposes, I am trying to convince myself that it isn't :p) and summer is on our doorstep! Multiple coffees (thanks to the new espresso machine) and big breakfasts later, I'm still here and life isn't much different from before
So anyway, I'm making up for the absence with this huge picture post. And this is culled!
dinner at chi
breakfast at farrel's
crossing albany highway
holding on for dear life - feel like i'm always missing him
a rare weekend off...spending it where else but at metros
grace gets kissy
me too :)
got becks?
there's someting fishy about these three...
he just does it so well...did i mention golf is the new thing? boys and balls...
So, it's been over a month (as Cat kindly pointed out) since my last blog entry. The birthday has come and gone undocumented, amongst other things. I have to admit, I've been more than a little lazy, I have just been totally unmotivated to write. I've barely even logged in to Xanga! But maybe its about time to get back to it. Maybe tomorrow? Heh But yes, soon, soon soon! I promise!
In the meantime, I'll leave you with this little gem that Naomi showed me a few weeks back. Totally adorable!
Almost forgot about Lyd's tag. Seeing as I really don't have anything better to blog or about (or really, am just a tad lazy to), am gonna cheat and do this..heh
Foods you hate: not really hate perse...i'll eat them if I have to, but I don't really like peas and celery and i only like lamb if its chops or cutlets. Not that fussy about what I eat, but more so how its cooked. Oh yeh, and I don't eat peanuts, they taste funny.
Fruits you hate: Hmmm....None, I don't think. Although, dragonfruit is a bit funny...
Veggies you hate: Hehe...as above? And not too fond of choko or bittergourd or petai. I just can't eat it...too bitter for me :p
Celebrities or ppl you hate: Don't like Pete Wentz much (although FallOut Boy is cool).
Event/Situation you hate: I avoid confrontation at all costs. It scares me. I like to keep the status quo. In my work appraisal my boss said I "fly under the radar". He meant that the old bitches that normally hate everybody didn't really have a problem with me. That's coz I go out of my way not to get involved in that crap!
TV Shows / Movies you hate: I don't think I've ever watched a movie I hate...but I never liked that debate show on Aussie TV Beauty & the Beast. It annoyed me - couldn't stand the host. Although, some ppl call it their favourite show. I don't get it.
Types of music you hate: heavy metal, death metal etc. You get the drift.
Household chore you hate: hahah...I can only pick one? I hate doing the dishes...don't like getting my hands dirty...doesn't that sound terrible. When I was younger I always made sure my mum bought rubber gloves for me so my hands didn't go all yuck and smell gross :p
Things you hate about the world: Small minded people that can't see outside themselves and put themselves in someone else's shoes just for one minute (oh no, work's not getting to me at all...).
Things you hate about yorself: hate is such a strong word. I've always avoided using it. maybe things I 'wish i could change about myself but have learned to live with' sounds better? Hmmm...obviously my thighs!! Ugh :p And possibly my exasperation with being asked the same question twice. I need to learn a little more patience, I think...
Guess where I was last night...hee Burswood Dome - watching Christina Aguilera perform!
poppin' it
rockin' it
flippin' it
Honestly, I've never been a huge, huge fan., it was always Naomi more so than me. I mean, I liked here but I wasn't really thinking about going to the concert until Naomi asked me if I wanted to go with her. Inititally I was a bit iffy coz I was thinking "Pop concert, no way that's gonna top Coldplay." But I'm so glad I decided to go!
Obviously it was a totally different kettle of fish from Coldplay, but awesome nonetheless. She's a great performer, put on a rockin' show. It was go, go, go dancing and singing and she still sounded excellent live (yup, definitely live) and hot to boot! I loved the whole burlesque theme of this album, made for some really cool stage settings...plus sitting 10 rows from the stage didn't hurt
I know the news about her pregnancy isn't confirmed, but I swear you could see her little baby belly. Cat, you gotta have a look when you go watch.
She was such a tiny little cutie. I think we were all a little star struck after that performance.
